How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before handling internal components.
- Replace the water filter:
- Remove the water reservoir or filter holder, depending on model.
- Take out the used charcoal filter cartridge.
- Soak a new Mr. Coffee-compatible charcoal filter in cold water for 10 minutes, then rinse.
- Install the new filter into the holder and reinstall in the reservoir.
- Reset the filter indicator:
- Press and hold the FILTER or CLEAN button (model-dependent) for several seconds until the message clears.
Do not operate the unit with a severely clogged filter; it can strain the pump and heater.
