Possible Causes
Brew lid not fully latched, Broken lid latch tab, Misaligned lid magnet, Faulty lid micro-switch or reed switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before manipulating the lid mechanism.
- Check lid closure:
- Open and close the lid firmly until you hear or feel a click.
- Ensure no pod foil or debris is caught in the seal.
- Inspect latch and magnet:
- Look for a small plastic tab or magnet on the lid; if broken or missing, the sensor will not detect closure.
- Clean around the switch:
- Use a dry brush or compressed air to remove coffee grounds from the latch area.
If the LID message persists, the lid switch or reed sensor inside the housing may need replacement.
