Possible Causes
Airlock in inlet line from reservoir, Weak or failing vibration pump, Clogged inlet filter screen, Kinked silicone hose between reservoir and pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool before handling.
- Bleed air from system:
- Fill reservoir to MAX with water.
- Remove and reinsert reservoir several times to help purge trapped air.
- Plug in and start a brew with no coffee; listen for the pump. If it hums but no water flows, stop after 30 seconds to avoid overheating.
- Clean inlet area:
- Remove reservoir and inspect the base inlet for debris.
- Use a damp cotton swab to clean the inlet port.
- Check for hose kinks (advanced):
- With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover (usually Phillips screws) if accessible.
- Inspect the silicone hose from reservoir inlet to pump for kinks or pinches; straighten as needed.
If the pump is noisy but still not moving water after these steps, the vibration pump may be failing and should be replaced by a technician.
