How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the brewer before handling the pod holder.

  • Remove and clean pod holder:
    • Take out the pod holder assembly.
    • Rinse thoroughly under warm water, paying attention to the bottom and sides.
  • Clean piercing needles:
    • Use a straightened paper clip carefully to clear any coffee grounds from the top and bottom needles.
    • Rinse again and reinstall the holder firmly.
  • Test with a new pod:
    • Insert a fresh, undamaged pod and close the lid firmly.

If the POD message remains, the internal pod sensor or microswitch may be defective and require service.
