Excessive steam escaping from sides or top of coffee maker during brewing.

Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam to avoid burns. Unplug and allow to cool before inspection.

• Check filter and basket:
  • Ensure filter is not overfilled or collapsed.
  • Clean basket outlet and drip-stop valve.
• Inspect lid seal:
  • Check for cracks or warping in the top lid and its gasket.
• Clear steam vent:
  • Locate any steam vent holes and clear dust or debris with a toothpick.

Persistent steam leaks from the same area may require lid or gasket replacement.
