During brewing, the capsule bursts, spraying coffee grounds inside the machine or into the cup.

Safety: Immediately stop the machine, move the lever to center, and unplug. Allow hot parts to cool before cleaning.

• Clean thoroughly: Remove the capsule holder and discard the capsule. Wipe all visible coffee grounds from the chamber, gasket, and holder.
• Clean injector and outlet: Use the cleaning needle to clear the injector. Rinse the capsule holder thoroughly, paying attention to the bottom outlet holes.
• Descale: Perform a descaling cycle to reduce internal restrictions.
• Use genuine capsules: Ensure you are using compatible Dolce Gusto capsules and not damaged or swollen ones.

If capsule bursting recurs with different capsules after cleaning and descaling, the pressure regulation or outlet path may be faulty and should be inspected by a technician.
