Possible Causes
Scale affecting temperature control, Blocked injector causing high pressure, Wrong beverage volume setting, Reusing capsules
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Let the machine cool if it has been used repeatedly.
- Use fresh capsules: Never reuse capsules; they are designed for a single extraction.
- Check volume setting: On automatic models, ensure the volume selector matches the recommendation on the capsule. Overfilling can cause over-extraction.
- Clean injector and holder: Remove coffee residues by cleaning the injector needle and soaking the capsule holder in warm soapy water.
- Descale: Perform a descaling cycle to restore proper temperature control.
If taste issues persist with fresh water and capsules after cleaning and descaling, the thermoblock temperature regulation may be off and require service.
