Possible Causes

Bent upper injector needle, Debris preventing head from closing fully, Worn locking handle hinge, Deformed capsule holder

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before inspecting the head area.

  • Check for debris: Open the handle and inspect the capsule chamber and sealing area for coffee grounds or foreign objects. Clean with a soft cloth.
  • Inspect upper needle: Look at the injector needle in the head. It should be straight and centered. If it appears bent, do not attempt to force it straight; this can break it.
  • Test closure: Insert the empty capsule holder (no capsule) and close the handle. Ensure it closes fully and evenly.

If the head does not close fully or the needle is damaged, the upper injector assembly or handle mechanism will need replacement by a technician.
