Possible Causes
Faulty lever microswitch, Broken lever mechanism, Disconnected switch wiring, Control board input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before any physical inspection.
- Check lever movement: Move the hot/cold lever fully to each side and back to center. It should move smoothly with a distinct click. If it feels loose or does not click, the internal microswitch may be damaged.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, plug back in, wait until the light is steady, then move the lever firmly to the hot side and hold for 2–3 seconds.
- Check for stuck lever: Inspect around the lever slot for dried coffee, sugar, or milk residue. Wipe carefully with a slightly damp cloth; do not let water enter the housing.
- Test cold side: If hot side does nothing, try the cold side. If neither side starts the pump, the lever switch or control board is likely faulty.
If the lever feels normal but the machine never reacts, the lever microswitch or control PCB must be tested and replaced by a technician.
