Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow it to cool completely before further use or disassembly.
Basic maintenance:
- Perform a full descale to restore proper water flow through the thermoblock.
- Ensure the machine is used in a well-ventilated area and that its vents are not blocked by cabinets or walls.
Internal checks:
- Open the housing and inspect the NTC temperature sensor on the thermoblock; ensure it is firmly attached with good thermal contact.
- Measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare to specifications; replace if out of range.
- Inspect the control board heater relay or triac for signs of sticking or damage; if the heater remains powered when it should be off, replace the board.
Do not bypass thermal fuses or safety thermostats. If the machine repeatedly overheats, replace the thermoblock and associated sensors.
