Possible Causes

User left drip stop lever in closed position, Drip stop valve jammed with coffee residue, Misaligned drip stop linkage, Faulty drip stop sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow hot parts to cool before working near the brew basket.

Check lever position:

  • Ensure the drip stop lever under the brew basket is in the OPEN position.

Clean the mechanism:

  • Remove the brew basket and rinse thoroughly.
  • Operate the drip stop under warm running water to free any sticky residue.
  • Wipe the area around the drip stop with a damp cloth.

Test:

  • Reinstall the basket, open the drip stop, and run a water-only brew.

If the DRIP STOP message persists even when open and clean, the internal sensor or linkage may need adjustment or replacement.
