Possible Causes
Reservoir not seated correctly, Air trapped in pump inlet, Clogged inlet screen or valve, Failing water pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before inspecting the reservoir and base.
Reseat and purge reservoir:
- Remove the water reservoir, empty it, and rinse thoroughly.
- Refill with fresh water and firmly reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated.
- Gently lift and reseat the reservoir a few times to help purge trapped air.
Clean inlet area:
- Inspect the reservoir outlet valve for mineral buildup; soak in warm vinegar for 15–20 minutes if needed, then rinse.
- Use a soft brush or cotton swab to clean the coffee maker's water inlet port.
Run a test cycle:
- Plug the unit back in and run a small brew with plain water.
- If flow is weak or the error reappears, perform a full descale cycle to clear internal blockages.
If the unit still cannot draw water, the internal water pump may be failing and should be inspected or replaced by a qualified technician.
