Possible Causes

Overheating due to scale buildup, Weak thermal fuse or thermostat opening prematurely, Loose connection on heating element, Control board cutting power due to sensor error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug and let the unit cool fully before inspection.

Descale the system:

  • Run a full descaling cycle with a 1:1 vinegar-water solution as described in the CLEAN cycle instructions.
  • Rinse with 2–3 full reservoirs of fresh water.

Observe behavior:

  • During a test brew, listen for the heater cycling off and on. If it stops heating and does not resume, a thermal device may be opening.

Internal checks (advanced):

  • Inspect the thermal fuse and thermostat on the heating tube for signs of heat damage.
  • Check all spade connectors on the heater and thermostats for tightness.
  • Test the heater and thermostats with a multimeter for proper continuity.

If the unit consistently stops mid-brew even after descaling and connections are secure, the thermal fuse/thermostat or control board may need replacement.
