• Adjust grind and dose: Use a slightly coarser grind and reduce the coffee amount within OXO’s recommended range.
• Check brew size: Ensure you are not using a small‑batch or bloom‑heavy mode unintentionally, which can increase extraction time.
• Descale: Perform a descale cycle to restore normal flow rate and prevent overly long contact time.
• Monitor brew time: Time a full brew. If it is significantly longer than specified in the manual, internal restriction or control issues may be present.
• Service if extreme: If coffee remains extremely bitter and brew times or temperatures are abnormal, the thermostat or control board may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
