Possible Causes

Cracked water reservoir or outlet fitting, Loose silicone hose inside unit, Failed hose clamp on heater inlet/outlet, Cracked boiler or manifold

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Immediately unplug the coffee maker. Water inside the unit can contact live electrical parts and create a shock hazard.

  • Remove and inspect reservoir: Take out the water reservoir and check for cracks, especially near the bottom outlet. Fill it over a sink and watch for drips.
  • Check external fittings: Inspect the area where the reservoir meets the base for visible leaks or damaged seals. Replace the reservoir if it is cracked.
  • Dry the area: Wipe up any water on the counter and under the unit. Do not plug the machine back in until you are sure it is dry and the source of the leak is identified.
  • Do not open housing when wet: Internal leaks require opening the unit to inspect hoses and clamps. This should only be done by a qualified technician once the unit is completely dry.
  • Service recommended: Persistent leaking from the base indicates an internal hose or boiler issue that must be professionally repaired.
