Possible Causes
Carafe not detected, Brew basket not seated, Lid or tank interlock not engaged, Failed brew button or control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is cool before opening the brew basket or removing the carafe.
- Verify all components: Confirm the water reservoir is installed, the brew basket is fully inserted, and the carafe is correctly seated with its lid in the brew position.
- Check for error icons: Look at the display for carafe, filter, or water icons indicating which interlock is not satisfied.
- Test brew button: Press the brew button firmly and hold for 1–2 seconds. If it feels mushy or unresponsive, the switch may be failing.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and attempt to start a water‑only brew.
- Panel or switch failure: If all interlocks are satisfied and the unit still will not start, the control panel or internal switches may need replacement by a technician.
