Possible Causes
Filter basket not fully inserted, Basket lid not closed, Faulty basket presence microswitch, Misaligned drip‑stop lever preventing switch activation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the machine is cool before opening the brew basket to avoid steam burns.
- Insert basket fully: Remove the brew basket and reinstall it, pushing until it is fully seated and level. Close any basket lid firmly.
- Check drip‑stop: Verify that the drip‑stop lever or plunger moves freely and is not blocked by a mis‑placed paper filter or coffee grounds.
- Clean contact areas: Wipe the basket rails and the area where the basket meets the machine to remove residue that might prevent full insertion.
- Test without coffee: Try starting a water‑only brew with the empty basket installed. If the error clears, reload with coffee and brew again.
- Switch failure: If “NO FILTER” remains despite proper basket placement, the internal basket presence switch may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
