Possible Causes
Corrupted control board firmware, Failed microcontroller on main PCB, Internal short due to moisture, Loose wiring harness to control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before any inspection.
- Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for at least 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Check for moisture: Inspect around the control panel and top cover for signs of steam ingress or spills. Allow the unit to dry in a warm, dry place for 24 hours if moisture is suspected.
- Inspect cable connections (if accessible): If you can safely remove the top cover (following the service manual), check that the ribbon cable between the display board and main PCB is fully seated.
- Service board: Persistent E01 usually indicates a failed control PCB. Replacement of the main control board should be performed by a Panasonic service center.
