Grinder is very loud or makes grinding/metallic scraping noises on grind-and-brew models.

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before accessing the grinder.

• Empty hopper: Remove all beans and vacuum out loose fragments.
• Inspect burrs: Remove the upper burr (if removable) and inspect both burrs for chips, cracks, or embedded objects. Remove any foreign material carefully.
• Clean thoroughly: Use a small brush to clean the burr teeth and chute. Do not use water on the grinder assembly.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall the burrs and hopper, then test with a small amount of beans. If loud metallic noises persist, the burrs or motor bearings may be damaged and require replacement.
