Possible Causes
Clogged brew group filter, Blocked coffee spout, Incorrect grinder calibration, Faulty brew valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the machine before removing the brew group.
- Clean brew group thoroughly: Remove the brew group and rinse under warm water. Pay special attention to the metal filter screen at the top and the lower filter. Use a soft brush to remove coffee oils and residues.
- Clean coffee spouts: Use a needle or thin brush to clear the coffee outlet spouts. Run a few cycles of hot water through the spouts afterward.
- Run cleaning cycle: If your Philips model supports it, run a coffee oil cleaning cycle using official cleaning tablets to clear internal coffee paths.
- Adjust grind and strength: Set the grinder slightly coarser and reduce coffee strength temporarily to reduce pressure while testing.
If E08 persists, the internal brew valve or pressure system may be faulty and require disassembly and part replacement by a technician.
