Possible Causes
Overheating thermoblock, Shorted component on power board, Faulty thermal fuse, Internal leak causing short
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine immediately if you smell burning or see smoke.
- Ventilation: Ensure the coffee maker has at least several centimeters of clearance on all sides and is not enclosed in a tight cabinet.
- Descale: Run a full descaling cycle. Overheating due to scale can trigger thermal protection.
- Check for leaks: Inspect around and under the machine for water. Internal leaks can cause shorts and shutdowns; if you see water, stop using the machine.
- Try a different outlet: Plug the machine directly into a wall outlet without a power strip to rule out external issues.
Repeated unexpected shutdowns indicate an internal electrical or thermal fault. Have the machine inspected by a qualified technician.
