Possible Causes
Blocked air intake on frother, Dirty LatteGo or milk carafe, Incorrect milk type or temperature, Low steam pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the steam system to cool before disassembly.
- Clean milk system: Disassemble the LatteGo, milk carafe, or classic frother. Soak all parts in warm water with dish soap and brush all small channels.
- Check air intake: Locate the small air hole on the frother and ensure it is not blocked. Clear it with a pin if necessary.
- Use cold milk: Use fresh, cold milk (3–3.5% fat for best foam). Avoid UHT or lactose-free milk if foam is poor.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle to restore steam pressure.
If frothing remains poor, the steam valve or internal frothing components may be worn and require replacement.
