Possible Causes
Air in water circuit, Blocked inlet filter, Worn ULKA pump, Loose pump mounting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before opening covers.
- Check water tank level: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated. Low water can cause the pump to suck air.
- Prime the system: Run several hot water cycles to purge air from the hydraulic circuit.
- Descale: Scale can cause the pump to work harder and become noisy. Run a full descaling cycle.
- Inspect pump mounts (advanced): Remove the side panel and check that the pump is firmly held in its rubber mounts. Re-seat or replace mounts if they are loose or degraded.
If the pump remains extremely loud or output is weak, the pump may be worn and require replacement.
