Possible Causes
Worn O-rings on steam wand, Cracked steam connector, Loose steam pipe, Scale buildup causing overpressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and allow the machine to cool completely before touching the steam system.
- Inspect wand or LatteGo connector: Remove the steam wand or LatteGo unit and check the O-rings for cracks or flattening. Replace with Philips-compatible O-rings.
- Clean connector: Remove milk and scale residues from the connector surfaces with a damp cloth.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle to reduce overpressure from scale in the steam circuit.
If steam continues to leak from inside the housing, an internal steam pipe or valve may be damaged and should be repaired professionally.
