Possible Causes

Dirty drip tray and grounds container, Mold in brew group, Stagnant water in internal lines, Dirty milk system

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before deep cleaning.

  • Clean removable parts: Wash the drip tray, grounds container, water tank, and brew group with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Clean coffee path: Run a cleaning cycle with coffee oil tablets if supported. Then run several hot water cycles.
  • Clean milk system: Disassemble and clean the LatteGo or milk carafe thoroughly. Use Philips milk system cleaner if available.
  • Leave open to dry: After cleaning, leave the service door and water tank lid open for a few hours to allow moisture to evaporate.

Persistent odor after thorough cleaning may indicate contamination in non-removable parts; professional cleaning may be required.
