Possible Causes

Worn tank outlet O-ring, Deformed tank seat, Cracked tank body, Misaligned tank

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before inspecting the tank area.

  • Inspect tank outlet: Look at the rubber seal or O-ring on the bottom of the tank. If it is flattened, cracked, or missing, replace the tank or seal.
  • Clean tank seat: Wipe the machine's tank inlet area to remove coffee dust or scale that may prevent a proper seal.
  • Check for cracks: Hold the tank up to a light source and look for hairline cracks, especially near the outlet. Replace the tank if any are found.
  • Seat tank firmly: Insert the tank straight and push it fully in until it clicks or feels secure.

If leaking continues despite a good tank and clean seat, the internal inlet fitting may be damaged and should be replaced by a technician.
