Possible Causes
Moderate mineral buildup in heater tube, Partially clogged spray head, Debris in reservoir outlet, Weak heating element reducing boil rate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool before cleaning.
- Descale thoroughly: Run 2–3 full cycles of 1:1 white vinegar and water, using the soak method (pause halfway for 20–30 minutes). Then run 2–3 cycles of clean water.
- Clean spray head: Remove the brew basket and inspect the spray head or drip outlet. Use a toothpick or soft brush to clear any clogged holes.
- Clean reservoir outlet: Rinse the reservoir and gently clean the outlet area to remove coffee grounds or debris.
- Evaluate performance: If brew speed improves but is still slow, repeat descaling. If there is no improvement, the heater may be weakening and the heater assembly may need replacement.
