Possible Causes
Clogged aluminum heater tube with mineral scale, Blocked inlet screen in reservoir, Clogged silicone water tube, Failed heater not boiling water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool completely before working on it.
- Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled above the minimum mark.
- Descale: Run a 1:1 white vinegar and water solution through the machine. Start a brew cycle and pause halfway for 20–30 minutes, then resume. Follow with 2–3 cycles of clean water.
- Clean inlet screen: If accessible, remove and rinse any mesh screen at the bottom of the reservoir to remove debris.
- Inspect tubing (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and inspect the silicone water tube from the reservoir to the heater and from the heater to the spray head. Look for kinks, clogs, or collapsed tubing. Replace damaged tubing.
- Check heater operation: If the warming plate does not get warm and there is no sound of boiling, the heater or thermal fuse may have failed and must be replaced.
