Possible Causes
Clogged inlet valve at base of reservoir, Mineral buildup in inlet tube, Airlock in heater tube, Failed flow sensor (on models equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool.
- Check reservoir valve: Remove the reservoir and press the valve at the bottom (if present) with a clean tool over a sink to confirm water flows freely. If stuck, soak in warm vinegar solution and rinse.
- Clean inlet area: Wipe the base inlet where the reservoir sits. Remove any scale or debris with a damp cloth.
- Prime the system: Fill the reservoir completely with water, reinstall, and start a brew cycle without coffee grounds. Sometimes running 2–3 cycles clears airlocks.
- Descale: If flow is weak, run a 1:1 vinegar and water descaling cycle as described in the CLEAN procedure, followed by fresh water rinses.
- Advanced checks: On models with a flow sensor, a failed sensor or wiring can falsely report no water flow. This requires access to the internal tubing and sensor and is best handled by a technician.
