Possible Causes

Failed vibration pump or rotary pump motor, Open pump thermal protector, Faulty pump triac or relay on control board, Loose pump wiring connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before accessing the pump or control board.

  • Listen for pump: When starting a brew cycle, if you hear no pump noise at all, suspect electrical or control issues. A humming noise with no water flow suggests a seized pump.
  • Check wiring: Access the pump compartment. Verify that the pump connectors are firmly attached and that wires are not burnt or broken.
  • Test pump directly: If you are qualified, briefly power the pump with an appropriate test cord (with the pump removed from the machine) to confirm it runs. If it does not, replace the pump.
  • Inspect control board: Look for burnt components near the pump triac/relay. If damaged, replace the control board.
  • Thermal protector: Some pumps have an internal thermal fuse that opens if overheated. If the pump is open‑circuit on a resistance test, replacement is required.

Warning: Directly powering the pump involves mains voltage and should only be done by trained personnel.
