Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main board, Damaged keypad PCB, Faulty main control board communication circuit, Moisture ingress behind front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the front panel or control board.
- Power reset: Leave the machine unplugged for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E10 persists, proceed with hardware checks.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the main board. Reseat both ends and ensure the locking tabs are engaged.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or steam condensation on the keypad PCB. Dry gently and correct any gasket or seal issues that allowed moisture in.
- Test keypad: If available, connect a known‑good keypad to the machine. If E10 clears, replace the original keypad assembly.
- Main board: If a good keypad still shows E10, the main control board may have a failed interface IC and should be replaced.
