Hot water tap drips continuously or will not shut off completely.

Safety: Turn off, unplug, and allow the machine to cool before working on the hot water valve.

• Operate valve: Open and close the hot water knob several times to try to clear minor debris.
• Disassemble valve: Remove the knob and valve stem. Note the order of parts.
• Clean and descale: Clean the valve seat and stem with descaler and a soft brush. Remove any debris.
• Replace seals: Install new O‑rings and seats as required by the Rancilio parts list.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall the valve and test under pressure for leaks.
