Possible Causes
Blown main fuse, Faulty power switch, Damaged power cord, Failed power entry module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before any inspection. Mains voltage is lethal.
- Check outlet: Test the wall outlet with another appliance to confirm power is present.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the cord if damaged.
- Check main switch: Access the rear or side power switch. Use a multimeter to verify continuity when switched on. Replace if open.
- Inspect and replace fuse: Many Rancilio machines have a fuse in the power entry module or on the main board. Remove and test with a meter; replace only with the same rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a short that requires professional diagnosis.
