Pump runs but no water comes out of the group head; loud buzzing from pump, dry shots, or no flow.

Safety: Turn off and unplug before removing any parts. Hot water may be present.

• Check reservoir and softener: Ensure the tank is full and the optional water softener cartridge is not completely blocked. Remove or replace the cartridge if flow improves without it.
• Clean shower screen: Remove the portafilter and unscrew the group shower screen and dispersion plate. Soak in backflush detergent, scrub, and reinstall.
• Backflush the group: Insert a blind filter basket with backflush detergent. Run several short pump cycles to clean the 3‑way solenoid and group passages. Rinse thoroughly.
• Inspect brew solenoid: If flow is still restricted, remove the 3‑way solenoid valve, disassemble, and clean the internal plunger and orifices of scale and coffee oils. Replace the solenoid coil or valve body if damaged.
