Possible Causes
Blocked pressure gauge capillary tube, Air trapped in gauge line, Faulty pressure gauge, Scale in gauge port
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the machine before disconnecting any pressure lines.
- Compare with blind shot: Use a blind basket and observe the gauge. If it does not reach typical 9–10 bar or behaves erratically, the gauge or line may be faulty.
- Inspect capillary tube: Check the thin tube from the pump or group to the gauge for kinks or blockages.
- Bleed air: Carefully loosen the fitting at the gauge slightly while running the pump to purge any trapped air, then retighten. Protect surrounding areas from water.
- Replace gauge if needed: If readings remain inaccurate, install a new Rocket-compatible brew pressure gauge.
