Possible Causes
Worn hot water valve gasket, Scale on valve seat, Damaged valve stem threads, Over-tightening causing deformation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine. Allow the boiler to cool and depressurize before servicing the hot water valve.
- Operate the valve: Open and close the hot water knob several times to see if the drip changes. If not, the internal seal is likely worn.
- Disassemble valve: Remove the knob and unscrew the valve stem. Inspect the sealing gasket or cone at the end. Replace with a Rocket-compatible part if it is cracked or flattened.
- Clean valve seat: Use a soft brush and descaling solution to clean the seat inside the valve body. Rinse thoroughly.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the stem and knob, then test for leaks under pressure.
