Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine. Do not operate with a low boiler level; the element can be damaged.

• Check level probe connection: Ensure the wire to the level probe is firmly attached and not corroded.
• Clean probe: Remove and descale the probe tip to restore proper conductivity.
• Test pump separately: Activate the brew circuit to confirm the pump itself works. If it does, the issue is likely in the level control circuit.
• Control box diagnosis: If the probe and pump are good, the Gicar box may not be triggering the pump for boiler fill and may require replacement.
