Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that trips. Unplug the machine immediately. Risk of electric shock and fire exists.

Inspect for leaks: Check under and around the machine for signs of water. Internal leaks onto electrical parts are a common cause.
Check power cord: Examine the cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. Replace if damaged.
Element insulation test (advanced): With a multimeter, test resistance from each heating element terminal to ground. A low resistance indicates a ground fault and the element must be replaced.
Professional service: Because this involves mains voltage and potential water contact, have a qualified technician diagnose and repair the fault.
