Possible Causes

Stuck inlet solenoid valve, Shorted control signal keeping valve energized, Faulty level probe reading low, Scale debris in valve seat

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine immediately. Overfilling can cause dangerous pressure and leaks.

  • Observe behavior: If water continues to enter the boiler with the machine off, the inlet solenoid valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
  • Check level probe: Clean the level probe to ensure it correctly detects water level.
  • Inspect solenoid valve: Remove and clean the valve body and plunger with descaling solution. If the plunger or seat is damaged, replace the valve.
  • Control signal check: If the valve only overfills when powered, the control board may be sending a constant fill signal and should be tested by a technician.
