Possible Causes
Scale buildup on vacuum breaker seat, Worn vacuum breaker seal, Debris preventing full closure, Incorrect installation angle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine. Allow the boiler to cool and depressurize before working on the vacuum breaker.
- Normal behavior check: A small amount of steam and water discharge during warm-up is normal until the valve closes. Continuous leaking after warm-up is not.
- Inspect valve: Remove the vacuum breaker and check for scale or debris on the sealing surfaces.
- Clean or replace: Descale the valve components and reassemble, or replace the entire vacuum breaker with a Rocket-compatible part if the seal is worn.
- Reinstall correctly: Ensure the valve is installed upright and tightened to the correct torque to prevent leaks.
