Possible Causes

Worn pre-infusion chamber seals, Debris on valve seats, Misadjusted E61 cam, Excessive line pressure in plumbed-in mode

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine. Allow the group to cool before service.

  • Check line pressure: For plumbed-in machines, ensure mains pressure is within Rocket's specified range (typically around 2–3 bar). Install a pressure regulator if needed.
  • Backflush with detergent: Clean internal valves and passages to remove debris that may prevent proper sealing.
  • Service pre-infusion chamber: Disassemble the E61 group to access the pre-infusion chamber and replace worn seals and springs.
  • Adjust cam: Verify that the cam engages and disengages the valves fully. Adjust or replace worn cam components as necessary.
