Possible Causes
Loose mains connection inside unit, Failing low-voltage regulator on PCB, Cracked solder joints on power input, Faulty power cord strain relief
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before inspection.
- Check external factors: Ensure the plug is firmly inserted and not in a loose extension lead or multi-way adapter.
- Inspect cord entry: Gently move the cord where it enters the machine while the unit is on (use caution). If power cuts in and out, the cord or internal connection is loose.
- Internal check: With the cover removed (only if competent), inspect the solder joints on the power input and transformer/SMPS area for cracks or discoloration.
- Repair: Resolder cracked joints or replace the control PCB if the low-voltage section is unstable. If the cord is damaged, replace the power cord.
