Possible Causes
Blown thermal fuse on heater, Open-circuit aluminum heating element, Loose heater wiring connector, Failed heater relay on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before opening.
- Listen for activity: When starting a brew, if you hear the pump but no heating sounds, suspect the heater circuit.
- Internal check: Remove the base and inspect the heater wiring and thermal fuse attached to the aluminum tube.
- Test continuity (advanced): Use a multimeter to check continuity across the heater and thermal fuse. Replace any open components.
- If wiring and heater are good: The heater relay or triac on the control PCB may have failed and the PCB should be replaced.
