Possible Causes
Grinder chute clogged with oily coffee, Burrs jammed by foreign object, Grinder motor overheated, Grinder motor driver fault on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker. Do not put fingers near the burrs or blades.
- Empty beans: Remove any beans from the hopper. If possible, remove the upper burr or grinder cover according to the user manual.
- Clear the chute: Use a small brush to remove compacted coffee from the grinder chute and burrs. Do not use water inside the grinder.
- Check for foreign objects: Look for stones or hard objects lodged between the burrs and remove them carefully.
- Cool-down: Allow the unit to rest for 30 minutes so the grinder motor thermal protector can reset.
- Test with small batch: Reassemble and add a small amount of dry beans. Plug in and try a grind cycle.
- If E8 returns immediately: The grinder motor or its driver circuit on the control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
