• Check carafe position: Ensure the carafe is centered and pushed fully back so the spout is under the filter basket outlet.
• Inspect drip-stop: Open the filter basket and press the drip-stop valve. It should move freely and spring back. Clean any coffee residue.
• Use correct filter: Make sure you are using the correct size and shape of paper filter recommended for your Russell Hobbs model, and do not overfill with grounds.
• Test with water only: Run a cycle with just water to confirm that the leak is resolved.
• If the valve is damaged: Replace the filter basket with drip-stop assembly.
