Possible Causes
Faulty water tank magnet or float, Dirty or failed reed switch in chassis, Misaligned water tank, Scale or debris around float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before inspecting the water tank area.
Step-by-step checks:
- Inspect water tank float: Look for a small plastic float or magnet inside the tank. Ensure it moves freely up and down. Clean any scale or debris.
- Check tank seating: Reinsert the tank firmly until it is fully seated. A partially inserted tank may not trigger the reed switch.
- Test without filter: Remove any AquaClean or Brita Intenza filter and test the machine. A misfitted filter can prevent the tank from seating correctly.
- Clean tank contacts (if present): On models with electrical contacts, wipe them with a dry cloth.
When to call a technician: If E10 remains, the internal reed switch or level sensor may be defective and requires replacement by a service center.
