Machine displays 'DESCALE' and may have reduced water flow or temperature issues

Safety: Use only Sage-approved descaling solution. Do not use vinegar or unapproved acids.

• Prepare descaling solution:
  • Mix the descaler with water in the tank according to the instructions.
  • Remove any water filter from the tank.
• Run DESCALE program:
  • Enter the descale mode as per your model’s manual.
  • Allow the machine to run the full cycle through the brew head and steam wand.
• Rinse thoroughly:
  • After descaling, rinse the tank and fill with fresh water.
  • Run several tanks of plain water through the brew and steam circuits to flush any residue.
• Repeat if flow is still poor: For heavily scaled machines, a second descale cycle may be necessary.
