Possible Causes

Empty water tank, Faulty tank float magnet, Failed tank level reed switch, Misaligned water tank

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Always unplug before lifting or tilting the machine.

  • Check water tank:
    • Fill the tank to the MAX line with fresh water.
    • Ensure the tank is fully pushed into place; you should feel it seat firmly.
  • Inspect float:
    • Look at the bottom of the water tank for the magnetic float.
    • Verify it moves freely up and down; if stuck, clean the tank with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Test without filter: Remove any water filter and test again. A swollen or clogged filter can interfere with flow and detection.
  • Reed switch check (advanced):
    • Inside the machine, near the tank area, there is usually a reed switch that detects the float magnet.
    • Check for physical misalignment or damage to the switch bracket.
  • Repair: Replace the water tank if the float is missing or no longer buoyant. Replace the tank level reed switch if it does not respond to a magnet test.
  • Service: If ER05 persists with a known-good tank and float, the main PCB input circuit may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
