Possible Causes
Failed vibration pump, Open pump coil, Faulty triac or relay on main PCB, Loose pump wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before any inspection. Do not run the pump dry for extended periods.
- Listen for pump operation:
- When you start a shot or hot water, listen for the characteristic buzzing of the vibration pump.
- If there is no sound at all, the pump may not be receiving power or may be open-circuit.
- Check water supply: Confirm the water tank is full and correctly seated; a dry pump can overheat and fail.
- Internal inspection (advanced):
- Remove the cover to access the pump.
- Check the pump’s spade connectors for secure fit and no corrosion.
- Inspect the pump body for signs of overheating or leaks.
- Repair: If the pump coil is open (no continuity) or the pump is seized, replace the vibration pump assembly with the correct Sage-compatible model. Transfer any rubber mounts and check valves as originally installed.
- PCB issues: If the pump tests good but does not receive voltage when commanded, the main PCB’s pump driver (triac/relay) may be faulty. This requires professional board-level repair or replacement.
