Machine displays ER07 and may not heat or may shut down unexpectedly

Safety: Unplug the machine before opening any covers. Avoid touching PCB components with wet hands.

  • Unplug the machine for at least 10 minutes.
  • Plug back in and power on while holding any documented reset key combination (refer to the user manual for your specific Sage model).
• Check environment:
  • Ensure the machine has not been exposed to steam from overhead kettles or cabinets, which can cause condensation on the PCB.
  • Allow the machine to dry in a warm, dry room for several hours and test again.
• Internal inspection (advanced):
  • Remove the housing to access the main control board.
  • Check all multi-pin connectors for full insertion.
  • Look for signs of corrosion, burnt components, or water marks on the PCB.
• Repair: If visible PCB damage is present, the usual remedy is to replace the main control board. Firmware reprogramming is not typically user-serviceable.
• Professional service: ER07 often requires authorized service to diagnose communication or firmware issues correctly.
